Both SEMRUSH and Amazon are affiliate programs that are not equally made entirely but depend on the products range and dynamics of the market they operate. So is the number of sales made and commissions earned. From my experience, I had earned more commissions with Amazon than SEMRUSH. This may be the opposite case for other affiliates as well.

 From my own experience it is not very important to join affiliate programs based on the commission structure. You need to know the quality of the products you are promoting. Joining affiliate programs based on higher commission rates is not going to benefit you as a affiliate marketer especially if you  are a beginner to affiliate marketing. If you are promoting affiliate products with higher commissions rates you are bound to write an exceptionally great article with content about the products you are promoting compared to products that offer less commissions. Getting more traffic, more clicks, more sales probably high when you promote affiliate products with less commission rates. I am not concluding anything here.
